IT Music Programme (GarageBand)

The IT Music Programme teaches students to make music on a tablet in GarageBand, Apple's music app, by playing its built-in instruments and arranging the parts into a track. MOE primary and secondary schools and international schools can book it, and organisations can ask for it too.

What is GarageBand?

GarageBand is Apple's music-making app. Students play on-screen instruments and record each part on its own track.

What do students do in the programme?

Each student works on a tablet with earphones, so a full class can play and listen at the same time without disturbing one another. Students build a track part by part.

The programme sits under the Creative Mind, one of the 3 Minds our programmes are built on.

Which schools can book it?

MOE primary and secondary schools, and international schools. Organisations can ask for the programme too. Tell us the level and the number of students you have in mind, and we will plan around them.

How is the programme set up for a school?

Every school's needs are different, so we agree the number of sessions and the group size with each school before the programme starts. Send us your term dates with your enquiry and we can begin from there.

Usual number of sessions, and who supplies the tablets: To be confirmed.

Yes. We agree the number of sessions and the group size with each school, because no two schools need the same thing.
