Keyboard Beginners Programme

The Keyboard Beginners Programme teaches students who are new to the keyboard to play simple melodies, each student at an electronic keyboard of their own. MOE primary and secondary schools and international schools can book it, and organisations can ask for it too.

Primary school pupils sitting on the floor, each at an electronic keyboard set on a low stand.

How does a class learn keyboard together?

In the class photograph every student sits at a keyboard of their own, with the music sheet on the instrument, so the whole class can practise the same melody at once.

What do students do in the programme?

Students find their way around the keys and learn to play short melodies, first with one hand.

The programme sits under the Creative Mind, one of the 3 Minds our programmes are built on.

Which schools can book it?

MOE primary and secondary schools, and international schools. Organisations can ask for the programme too. Tell us the level and the number of students you have in mind, and we will plan around them.

How is the programme set up for a school?

Every school's needs are different, so we agree the number of sessions and the group size with each school before the programme starts. Send us your term dates with your enquiry and we can begin from there.

Usual number of sessions, and who supplies the instruments: To be confirmed.
